About Me

Dear Parents/Guardians,
Welcome to Third Grade, Room 143! I am very excited to get to know your child and help him/her learn and grow this year.

My name is Nicole Kelly and this is my 16th year as a teacher in New Haven, and my second year teaching third grade. I hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Elementary Education and a Master’s Degree in Reading Instruction. At home, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our four-year-old daughter.
I will do my best this year to ensure that all students have a motivating and safe learning experience in my classroom, but I need your help at home. It is essential to work together in order to help your child to be successful. Please encourage your child by ensuring that he/she has completed assignments, and assist when needed. Students will have homework every night, so please sign off in their agenda when the nightly homework has been completed. I also need your help in making sure your child arrives to school every day and on time. I will keep you informed of all assignments, field trips, and subjects that are covered in class with a monthly newsletter and through REMIND. Please be sure to sign up!

I have included some other information that may help answer some questions about our classroom. I know that with your help we are going to have a great year!
I look forward to working with your child and meeting you at Open House on September 11th!
Sincerely,
Mrs. Kelly
